Terms of Service

Last updated: July 11, 2026

These terms govern your use of Relay ("the Service"), a web-data API operated by Relay ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company.

1. The Service

Relay is an API that retrieves publicly accessible web pages you point it at and returns the response to you. Billing counts successful responses only — failed, blocked, or errored requests are not billed. Plan allowances, rate limits, and concurrency are shown in your dashboard.

2. Your account and keys

3. Acceptable use — your responsibility

You decide which websites the Service accesses and what you do with the data. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use — including target selection, collected data, and downstream use — complies with applicable laws and regulations, the target websites' terms where they apply to you, and data-protection rules (GDPR, CCPA, and similar). We provide infrastructure; we do not review your targets and we make no representation that scraping any particular website is lawful for your purposes.

You must not use the Service to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice.

4. Billing

5. Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it up but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and maintenance may cause short interruptions. No SLA applies unless agreed with you in writing.

6. Data and content

Data you retrieve through the Service is yours. Responses and short-lived logs are retained only as long as needed to deliver results, operate, and bill the Service. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

We disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and any warranty about the accuracy, legality, or usability of data retrieved at your instruction. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or lost profits or data.

8. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your targets, or your breach of these terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate the Service for breach of these terms, non-payment, legal requirement, or abuse that threatens the platform. Sections 6–8 survive termination.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard at least 14 days in advance, and continued use after that counts as acceptance. Questions: contact us.
